Day 1 : Dal Lake - kashmirArrive Srinagar

 Welcome to your ‘Glorious Kashmir’ tour! Arrive into Srinagar airport. There you will be met and transferred to your houseboat in Srinagar. When we think of Kashmir, the first thing that comes to our Mind is Houseboats. Staying on a Houseboat means like living in Paradise, an experience one is not likely to find anywhere else on the surface of the earth .In the evening enjoy a Romantic Shikara ride on the Dal lake.

Day 2 : On to Pahalgam (148 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)

Today depart for Pahalgam the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from the river Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. On arrival into Pahalgam, check in to your hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. You can enjoy shopping at the local market on your own for papier-mache items ranging from jewellery boxes to mirror frames, a range of intricately carved walnut wood furniture and accessories, stone jewellery boxes, beautiful woollen shawls etc etc.

Overnight in Pahalgam

Day 3 : Pahalgam – Half Day Excursion to Chandanwari

This morning proceed on an excursion to Chandanwari, an idyllic picnic spot and a gateway for Amarnath Yatra. Filmgoers will recognize it instantly as it has been a favourite location in several movies.

Note: This excursion is subject to road, weather conditions and military permission. Return to your hotel for lunch.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Pahalgam.

Day 4 : On to Gulmarg (148 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)

This morning proceed to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows.Gulmarg – the ‘meadow of flowers’ is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden spot offering a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees.
Later, on arrival check into your hotel.
Take a leisurely stroll or pony ride on your own across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Courses. You may also wish to take a fun-filled ride in the Gondola on your own.

Overnight in Gulmarg

Day 5 : On to Srinagar (52 kms / approx. 2 hour drive)

Today, drive to Srinagar. En route, make a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins, an 1100year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Arrive into Srinagar and check into your hotel.In the afternoon visit the Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Garden, Chashmeshahi and Nishant Gardens (Closed on Friday). With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them, the three Mughal Gardens were the Mughal Emperor’s concept of paradise, where they relaxed with their exquisite queens. Today, they are popular picnic spots.Later Visit the Shankracharya Temple situated atop a hill.
Shankaracharya Mandir is regarded as the oldest temple in the valley of Kashmir. The structure of the temple boasts about the architectural style of those times.It is believed that Shankracharya, the great philosopher, lived here during his trip to Kashmir. Ever since, the temple came to be known as the Shankaracharya Temple.

Overnight in Srinagar

Day 6 : Srinagar – Day Excursion to Sonmarg (90 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)

Today embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘Meadow of Gold’ – Sonmarg.The rest of the evening is at leisure.You can opt for a pony ride(on your own) to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice.

Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 7 : Depart Srinagar

Today, bid farewell to your ‘Glorious Kashmir’ tour as you are transferred to Srinagar airport for your onward journey.
