Day 01: – Arrival Kolkata                                                               Victoria Memorial- kolkata                 

Welcome upon arrival at Kolkata International airport. You will be assisted upon arrival and transferred to Hotel.

Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 02: – Kolkata                                                                                              

Kolkata formerly Calcutta is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. Located on the east bank of the Hooghly river, it is the principal commercial, cultural, and educational centre of East India, while the Port of Kolkata is India’s oldest operating port and its sole major riverine port.

Today you will visit Victoria memorial, Kalighat Kali Temple and drive past the colonial part of the city.

The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria (1819–1901) and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The Memorial lies on the Maidan (grounds) by the bank of the Hooghly river.

Kalighat Kali Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Kalighat was a Ghat (landing stage) sacred to Kali on the old course of the Hooghly river.

Day 03: – Kolkata – Bagdogra – Kalimpong

 Early morning visit to the beautiful flower market on the banks of the Hooghly river.

Later in the morning you will be assisted and transferred to airport to board your flight to Bagdogra.

Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport you will be transferred to Kalimpong (76 Kms – Approx 02.30 Hours)

Upon arrival at Kalimpong, check in at hotel.

 Day 04: -Kalimpong – Gangtok                                                                                                          

 Morning explore Kalimpong’s flower nurseries and small market.

Flower Nurseries are in abundance in Kalimpong, as the place is famous for cultivation of horticultural plants. These flower nurseries are engaged in exporting beautiful and exotic flowers. It is the only place in entire West Bengal where a number of commercial flower nurseries are located.

Afternoon you will be transferred to Gangtok (75 Kms – Approx 02.30 Hours)

Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Day 05: – Gangtok                                                                                            

 Gangtok Wreathed in clouds, Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim is located on a ridge at a height of 5500 feet. With a spectacular view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga, the town provides the perfect base for travel through the state. Once an important transit point for traders traveling between Tibet and India, it is today a busy administrative and business centre and presents an interesting mix of cultures and communities.

Early morning visit to Tashi view point for magnificent views of Mountain Kanchenjunga.

Enjoy the sweeping view of the snow capped Mountain Kanchenjunga from the Tashi View Point. Adorned with a park on its hilltop, Taashi view point offers panoramic views of Sikkim as well. One can see the peaks dazzling with the change in clouds.

Later proceed to one of India’s busiest and most famous monasteries at Rumtek.

Rumtek Situated at a distance of 24 km from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, and at an altitude of 5800 ft, the Rumtek monastery is one of the best locations for a quite and peaceful atmosphere. Rumtek is a famous monastery, all over the world, especially among the Tibetan Buddhists, and is situated near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Originally called the Dharma Chakra Centre, it includes a beautiful shrine temple and a monastery for the monks. The 16th Karmapa built the monastery. The place got an existence in the Buddhist pilgrimage map, especially after Chinese habitation in Tibet and subsequent relocations of some Tibetan religious gurus to Sikkim.

After your visit return back to hotel.

Day 06: – Gangtok – Pelling                                                                                                                

Morning you will be transferred to Pelling (113 Kms – Approx 03.30 Hours).

 Upon arrival visit the local monastery with its staggering mountain views.

 Later check in at hotel.

 Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 07: – Excursion to Tashiding                                                                                                      

Today you will be given excursion to Tashiding (36 Kms – Approx 01 Hour one way)

 Enjoy a beautiful walk up the hill to the secluded monastery. Walk through small villages, surrounded by prayer flags and chortens.

Tashiding is a small village on a hilltop near Pelling. The Tashiding monastery belongs to the Nyingmapa order and is highly revered among the people of Sikkim. Build on the top of the hill and looming over the Rathong and Rangit river, the monastery can be seen from far and wide. It is believed that even a slight glimpse of the monastery can cleanse mortals of all sins. The monastery was built during the 17th Century.  Inside the monastery, a pot of holy water is kept sealed only to be revealed and its droplets given to devotees once every year at the Bumchu Festival during the 14th and 15th day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar.

 After your visit return back to Pelling.

Day 08: – Pelling – Darjeeling

 Today you will be transferred to Darjeeling (73 Kms – Approx 02.30 Hours).

Upon arrival at Darjeeling, check in at hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure.

 Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 09: – Darjeeling                                                                                    

Today you will visit Botanical garden, Ghoom monastery and also visit the Mountaineering institute.

Ghoom Monastery or Ghum Monastery pay homage to Maitreya Buddha. Also known as Yiga Choeling Gompa. Ghoom Monastery is located in a place called Ghoom in Darjeeling. The Gompa was built back in the year 1875 and it houses a number of bells, ornate thanka scrolls and drums.

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established on November 4, 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India. The first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953 by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary sparked a keen interest in establishing mountaineering as a well-respected endeavour for people in the region (Closed on Thursdays).

Day 10: – Darjeeling                                                                                                     

Today spend the day enjoying Toy Train ride and also visit Tea Estate.

Toy Train The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is a UNESCO world heritage site and also known as the “Toy Train”, is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. Built between 1879 and 1881, the railway is about 78 kilometres (48 mi) long. Its elevation level varies from about 100 metres (328 ft) at New Jalpaiguri to about 2,200 metres (7,218 ft) at Darjeeling. Four modern diesel locomotives handle most of the scheduled services.

Later visit Tea Estates.

Day 11: – Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Delhi + Departure                                                                                

Today in time you will be assisted and transferred to Bagdogra airport (70 Kms – Approx 02.30 Hours) to board flight for Delhi.

Upon arrival at Delhi airport you will be transferred to international airport to connect your flight for onward destination.
